Kalakaua Community
The Kalakaua Community is the first neighborhood to be developed by the Island Palm Communities partnership. The majority of the community is built on what was once a golf course, which was designed around existing cart paths and roadways as well as the hundreds of mature trees. The preservation of trees gives the community an established look and sense of place.
All new homes reflect a modern floor plan and are built to meet EnergyStar standards that feature energy-efficient design, materials and appliances, including solar hot water systems. Kalakaua also offers contemporary-style homes built in the 1980s that feature floorplans many families enjoy.
A new community center is the focal point of the community, and features a 24-hour fitness facility, 36-seat movie theatre, and a large multi-purpose room with complete kitchen. A playground, gazebos, and full-size basketball court flank the Kalakaua Community Center that is a gathering place for community activities as well as private resident events. Throughout the community, families can enjoy tot lots and walking and biking trails.
Three, four and five-bedrooms homes are available to E1 through O6 Service Members.
